Mehndi tattoo art has been practiced for at least four thousand years in the Middle East and Asia, the henna paste is used on occasions of Eids, Wedding Rituals and other ceremonies. In addition to henna being an Impermanent Tattoo, the henna leaves have antiseptic and astringent properties. Henna paste is often used on bruises, burns, athletes feet, headaches, and as a natural hair dye.

Henna powder is made of dried plant leaves from a small shrub
(Lawsonia inermis) that can grow about 10 feet in height, and
is very common in tropical climates. Henna is the Persian
name, and Mehndi is the Hindi name given to this natural dye.
The application of henna is absolutely painless and has
a cooling affect on the skin when mixed with Mehndi oil
(Eucalyptus oil or Clove oil) This temporary dye can be used
for your hair, skin and finger nails.

People often ask me about colors. Brownish red is the only color
of natural henna powder. Black henna may contain a chemical
(Paraphenylenediamine FDA Report) which can cause harmful
effects to the skin. I use only natural products.
